Illustrator tutorial │ How to use the Stylize effects
This is another beginner tutorial on adobe illustrator. In this tutorial we will learn to use the stylize tool. This is a very important tool. On most of the tutorial I have used this tool. Learn how to use the stylize effect of illustrator:
Go to “Effects/stylize”. Here you will see some options such as drop shadow, inner glow, outer glow etc.
1. Drop shadow:
This option is for making drop shadow to give vector art works more realistic
look. First create a rectangle and fill it with any color. Then click on “Drop
shadow”. There are some options on the pop up window. Notice carefully the
options and values.
a. Blending
modes: This is not so important.
b. Opacity: The
opacity or darkness of the shadow.
c. X offset:
Moves the shadow to the X axis.
d. Y offset:
Moves the shadow to the Y axis.
e. Blur: The
density of the shadow.
f. Color: You
can change the shadow color. The default color is black.
2. Feather: This
effect is used to smooth the corners of a vector object. Double click on this
option and fill the feather radius on the box. Increase or decrease the value
as your wish. Tick the preview to see live.
3. Inner glow:
As like as feather with more options. Increase the blur to make more complex
vector art. You can also change the proportion as center and edge.
5. Round
corners: You can easily round corners of a vector art object such as rectangle,
triangle etc. Increase the value to round more smoothly.
6. Scribble:
This is a nice effect. Selecting the rectangle click on this option. Tick the
preview. You will see like this.
There are too many options
