Illustrator beginner │ How to use the type tool
This
is another beginner tutorial on adobe illustrator. In this tutorial we will
learn to use the type tool. This is a very important tool. On most of the tutorial I
have used this tool. So, I strongly recommend you to see this valuable guide
attentively. Otherwise you may not be able to realize the advanced tutorials
such as 3d and complex shape tutorials.
Learn how to use the type tool of illustrator:
The type tool is another important tool in illustrator. You can do all typing work as you wish with this tool. You can type horizontally, vertically even in a certain path. Let's do it practically.
To take the type tool click on the icon
"T" or press "t" on your keyboard. With this tool you can
type simply. But, if you want more typing option long press on the type tool
(T). You will see 5 more options. I'm describing them all below.
1. Type tool: Take this tool and click on
the art-board. You will see the cursor
blinking. Press on keyboard to type as you think.
2. Area type tool: If you want to type on
an area then use this tool. To type on an area first draw a shape such as
rectangle, ellipse or circle. Then click on the path by selecting this tool.
3. Type on a path tool: If you want to
type on a path such as curve, lines etc then select this tool. First draw a
path as your wish and select the type on a path tool. Double click on the path
and type your text.
4. Vertical type tool: This tool helps to
type vertically.
5. Vertical area type tool: With this tool you can type vertically on an
area. Do the same as area type tool.
6. Vertical type on a path tool: This tool works as
