Illustrator tutorial │ How to make an art brush

This is another beginner tutorial on adobe illustrator. In this tutorial we will learn how to use the art brush. This is a very important tool. On most of the tutorial I have used this tool. So, I strongly recommend you to see this valuable guide attentively. Otherwise you may not be able to realize the advanced tutorials such as 3d and complex shape tutorials.

Learn how to make an art brush on illustrator:

Step 1: Create a rectangle and fill it with black color.

Step 2: Add some anchor point like the image below.

Step 3: Now, delete the corner anchor points with the "Delete anchor points" tool.

Your shape will be like below. 

Make it thinner by selecting and dragging it vertically.

Step 4: Now, drag and drop it to the brush panel. A pop up window will be opened. Here you will see some options. Simply select the art brush option and click ok. Your art brush is ready to use. To use this brush create a path with the pen tool and apply this brush like this.
