The rectangle tool is a resource of adobe illustrator.  This tool is used for creating most of the vector artwork. Let's go on.

Rectangle tool: Select the rectangle tool (M) and drag on the artboard. You can create squares by holding the shift button.

Rounded Rectangle tool: This tool is used for creating rectangles with rounded corners. You can modify the roundness of the rectangle by pressing up and down arrow key when dragging the mouse.

Ellipse tool: You can create ellipse as well as circles by this tool. Hold down shift key when dragging the mouse to create circles.

Polygon tool: To draw polygons use this tool. Hold the up/down arrow key when dragging mouse to make various kind of shapes.

Star tool: Hold down up/down arrow key when dragging mouse to make various kind of stars.
