Illustrator tutorial│How to Make a realistic shadow

This is another beginner tutorial on adobe illustrator. In this tutorial we will learn how to make a realistic shadow. This is a very important tool. On most of the tutorial I have used this tool. So, I strongly recommend you to see this valuable guide attentively. Otherwise you may not be able to realize the advanced tutorials such as 3d and complex shape tutorials.

Here is an example of a shadow of any realistic object.

Step 1: Create a circle with the ellipse tool holding down the shift key. Fill it with black. Again, create a smaller circle at the center of the circle and fill it with black.

Step 2: Select the large circle and lower the opacity to 0% from the transparency palette.

Step 3: Selecting both circle go to "Object/blend/blending option" and follow the image. Now, go to "Object/blend/make".

Your vector art will be like below. Make it thinner by dragging the circle veritcally.

Step 4: Go to transparency palette and select the "Multiply" blending mode. You can lower the opacity to make the shadow more realistic.

Your shadow is ready to use. Place this shadow under any object like this.

I think you have enjoyed this tutorial. After all, if you have any question or want to say thanks to me, don't forget to comment. Thanks for reading this tutorial on adobe illustrator.
